Children’s Art Birthday Parties – Fun with Art

Art birthday parties include guided art activities led by the Kunsthalle staff, as well as more informal celebration time. The guided art session lasts one hour, followed by another hour for snacks and free play among the birthday party guests.

The activity options for Art Birthdays are:

Muu-Mau’s Mystery Tour

On the Mystery Tour, you’ll hunt for clues and treasure just like Muu-Mau the barn cat! This cat-themed tour explores the Kalevan Navetta and includes interactive activities in the art exhibition. A Muu-Mau hand puppet joins the adventure on the tour.

Best suited for ages 3–6.

Muu-Mau’s Painting Workshop

In Muu-Mau’s painting workshop, you’ll create art utilizing paints that glow under ultraviolet light. Participants will paint their own artwork on a canvas, which they can take home. The workshop will be held in the workshop space Itikka, which transforms into a space that glows under UV light. No prior experience is required to participate in the workshop.

Suitable for ages 6 and up.

 

Booking Information

Bookings: To book, please contact the producer for public programmes at Kunsthalle (see the website under Contact Information –> Personnel). Art Birthdays must be booked at least two weeks in advance.

Pricing: €12/child. Minimum charge €120. The price includes an art instructor, materials, and use of the party space. Catering is not included in the price.

Schedule: Art Birthdays are held on Saturdays whenever possible. You can choose from the following time slots: 12:00–2:00 PM or 1:00–3:00 PM.

Duration: 2 hours (1 hour of guided activities + 1 hour of independent partying)

Group size: Max. 15 children

Art Birthday languages: Finnish. At the moment, Kunsthalle Seinäjoki does not offer Art Birthdays in other languages.

Location: The party venue is generally Classroom Kässä 2, 1st floor. The painting workshop takes place in the workshop space Itikka, 2nd floor.

Catering: You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks to the party venue. You can also order catering from the Äärellä restaurant for your birthday party.
