Meet the Artist: Tiina Laasonen

Exhibition space Halli

Free of charge

Tiina Laasonen, the artist of the exhibition I Know a Tree that Grew Up, will talk about her artworks and her work at the exhibition space Halli on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 11:00 to 11:45 am. The meeting is free of charge. Welcome! The meeting is held in Finnish.

The exhibition deals with memories and memory. The artist explores the emotional bond that forms between trees and humans, as well as its relationship to a person’s self-image and personal history. The wood materials used in the works were donated through an open call donation campaign. The stories that the donors told about the trees they donated are also an essential part of the exhibition. They have served as inspiration for the form and themes of the works. More about the exhibition HERE.

The Meet the Artist event is organized as part of Kalevan Navetta’s MUU Christmas event.
