Kunsthalle Seinäjoki’s art exhibitions:

Tiina Laasonen: I Know a Tree That Grew Up (exhibition space Halli, 2nd floor)

The exhibition deals with memory and memories, and their connection to human identity. The artist explores the theme through large wooden sculptures. What kind of emotional bond can form between a tree and a human being? The exhibition features a wide range of different tree species that the artist received as donations from people to make art out of.

Sarah Nakiito & Liisa-Irmelen Liwata: Still I Rise (exhibition space Vintti, 3rd floor)

The exhibition deals with survival and the political and social environment associated with it. The artists have explored the theme through their own working methods. How do historical events and our own past affect our resilience and the formation of our identity? The exhibition invites viewers to reflect and seek change.
