Kalevan Navetta’s barn cat Muu-Mau invites children and families to enjoy a free spring day event filled with art, culture, and crafts at Kalevan Navetta on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Free admission to exhibitions at Kunsthalle Seinäjoki

11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission to the exhibition is free for everyone throughout the event. Jessica Segall’s exhibition Oddkin is on display in the exhibition space Halli. The group exhibition Flashback is on display in the exhibition space Vintti.

Guided tours of the Oddkin exhibition for children

11:30 a.m.–11:50 a.m., 12:30 p.m.–12:50 p.m. & 1:30 p.m.–1:50 p.m., Exhibition space Halli, 2nd floor

This guided tour for children and families introduces Jessica Segall’s Oddkin exhibition. With the help of a Kunsthalle guide, you can dive into the themes of the exhibition in a fun and interactive way. Participation and playfulness is recommended, but not mandatory! The guided tour starts in front of the exhibition space Halli and lasts about 20 minutes. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult. The tour is limited to the first 20 participants. No advance registration is required.

Please note: The exhibition space is dimly lit and contains large-scale video works. The overall atmosphere of the exhibition may be exciting from the perspective of young visitors. The guide will help make the exhibition experience more accessible.

Self-guided workshop: Mouthy business

11 a.m.–2:30 p.m., workshop space Itikka, 2nd floor

In this self-guided non-stop workshop, you can get into the spirit of the Oddkin exhibition playfully by coloring an animal face that opens and closes its mouth. You can choose from two ready-made animal templates. The workshop is open to everyone and is suitable for creators of all ages and skill levels. You can visit the workshop on your own between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Written instructions are available in the workshop room.

The city of Seinäjoki’s summer artist model is celebrating its 10th anniversary! The exhibition presents new works by six summer artists from 2018-2023. On display are paintings, video installations, and sculptures, among other things.
