What happens when we gather to follow a performance? What do we let go of, what do we gain? What kind of a being is an audience?
Fri 7.11.2025, at 6-7.45 pm, Hugo event space at Kalevan Navetta. Free entry. Duration 100 min.
You can also attend the performance without a reservation if it has not been fully booked by the day of the event.
Audience Body is a performance without performers, like a book misplaced into the space and time of theatre.
It is composed of several reading objects available to the audience: rolls of paper unwinding, love letters ripped, words eaten and hands immersed in water. Audience Body addresses the phenomenon of audience: its collectivity, liveness and the related tensions that appear when we gather in order to receive.
Event is supported by Art University Seinäjoki Unit and Art Promotion Centre Finland.
