Resonance Opening Party

The opening party of the Resonance group exhibition will be held on Friday the 16th of June at 5 to 8 pm. Resonance is an international group exhibition previously shown in 2021 at Verksmiðjan á Hjalteyri (the herring factory in Hjalteyri) in Iceland. Awarded the Icelandic Art Prize 2022 for the best group exhibition in Iceland the works of five artists are presented drawing from the world of environment, technology, and storytelling.

The evening is also full of other program as the art and culture centre Kalevan Navetta Summer Day is also celebrated. The Opening Party and Summer Day is free of charge and everyone are warmly welcome!

Program

at 6pm Opening Speech: Kunsthalle Seinäjoki art curator Sanna Karimäki-Nuutinen & Resonance curators Anna Hallin and Olga Bergmann.

at 6.15pm Artist interviews: Olga Bergmann (IS), Angela Dufresne (US), Anna Hallin (IS), Vesa-Pekka Rannikko (FI) ja Simon Rouby (FR).

Kaleva Navetta’s Summer day will include a craft picnic, a picnic flea market, a summerly sing-along, a concert by Sibis Jazz Camp students, Ruusu & Renttu – Karaoke and a summerly Polaroid photo booth, and restaurant Äärellä will be selling picnic food packages to take to the picnic and out to enjoy.
