Exhibition space Vintti
Free admission
at 12-13
Join us in a mapping workshop about the ways we orient ourselves in relation to nature. Workshop takes place in the exhibition space Vintti, as a side event of the exhibition Still I Rise.
Did you collect sticks as a kid? Did your grandfather teach you to fish? Do you have a particular technique to climb trees?
Come share stories of nature, trees and traditions with us! The workshop will be led by artist AK Wane. Meet also Sarah Nakiito, artist of the Still I Rise exhibition during the event!
Workshop is part of the event Muu-joulu at Kalevan Navetta.
AK Wane (b. 1994, Dakar) is an artist, writer and curator currently based in Helsinki, Finland. Her work exists at the intersection of documentary and experimental practices. She graduated with an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki in 2024.
